First Touch provides alternative placement for women being released from the Florida Prison System. After a thorough evaluation and the formation of a support team, women accepted into the program completed an accountability covenant and the housing agreement. These documents are used to measure the women’s accomplishments towards goals and aid in the successful transition form incarceration to a free and healthy way of life. The team members surround women with love, support and guidance. Through these relationships a bond is formed that gives the women hope that they too can lead a well-grounded, healthy lifestyle. Teams meet with the women on a regular basis and evaluate their progress. From their teams, women learn skills in making decisions, forming relationship and restoring broken ones. They learn accountability and responsibility while simultaneously gaining lasting friendships and mentors. These relationships help ensure that the move to independence is truly a “new start” with a different outcome fro the women and their families. First Touch is committed to helping women break old patterns and setting them on a path to becoming productive contributors of society.

We create and produce our own material, tailor-making them for each experience. These music CDs, inspirational books, videos and guided imagery CDs reinforce the concepts from the experience, and helps fund the ministry. We believe that we cannot do anything to earn our way to heaven, that only by God's grace are we saved.

We believe that we are each called to share this grace with others in practical and loving ways so that people in need can know that Father, Son and Holy Spirit right where they are. We believe that just as the women who "followed and supported" Jesus and the disciples, we are called to provide that same support and leadership to all He places in our path.
